Coronavirus epidemic changed us into YouTubers almost in one night. As we were facing a new challenge we decided to start organizing open music classes for kids online to all the families in Finland and elsewhere. These classes have been supported by donations until May 15. We are switching into chargeable music classes for the beginning of the summer.
The open online music classes have been published as videos and premiered on our YouTube Channel. The open music classes of the week 20 can be watched there:

How to prepare for the music class online?
Make some space in your home, in the room where you are planning to watch the class with your child, as we move and dance a lot in our classes. Take some shakers and little instruments that you can play together. We also use colorful scarves – on the Peekaboo song with little ones and on the Rainbow Song with older ones. Take some soap bubbles with you as well if you have any at home – just make sure you don’t blow them over a nice rug as they can leave marks.
You can surely leave children to watch the class by themselves but it is more fun for them when you as a parent get strongly involved with the activities. Our interaction with a child is quite limited due to the one-way broadcast so parents taking part in the games, the dancing and singing is preferable.
